Very warm and flexible winter wetsuit from ION Kiteboarding
The focus of the Seek Amp is to provide epic stretch while also respecting the environment. The Seek Amp is made from Drygrid at the sleeves. This material absorbs 30% less water and therefore the wetsuit remains lightweight. The rest of the wetsuit is made from recycled nylon fabric from nylon waste. It is important that this does not come at the expense of its good stretch properties, as these are just as good as those of the conventional models! This is referred to by ION as Eco-Stretch! ION aspires to step up their game with regards to sustainability, by producing in a more environmentally friendly manner, without compromising the quality and lifespan of their products.The neoprene is called I_ Foam, a light and flexible neoprene foam. Thanks to its lower density, it contributes to thermal insulation and better flexibility. The inner lining consists of two materials, Plasma Plush 2.0 and Hot Stuff 2.0. The name already gives it away, the Hot_Stuff 2.0 fabric with its soft large loops at the legs and core serves as a heat insulation. This is the most stretchable thermal lining in the entire ION range. The quick-drying Plasma Plush 2.0 liner offers the best heat retention and flex. The high pile fabric traps air for snuggly warmth and insulation while the vertically aligned channel structure transports moisture away quickly – for a dry wetsuit in between sessions. In addition, it also protects against cold wind chills.
The soft fabric Silk_Stuff is processed on the arms for more comfort and flexibility. The seams are sealed with an improved version of highly elastic neoprene tape, Maki Tape 2.0. The wetsuit retains its flex and simultaneously the seams are reinforced and fully waterproof taped. All critical stress points of the seams, for example at the shoulders, are reinforced from the inside and secured with melco tape for a longer lifespan of the seams. The Seek Amp is available in 14 (!) different sizes and two different colors: black and black capsule with a print on the sleeves.
