This surfboard feels most at home in flat or choppy water. It is the only directional from the Naish collection that has a Quad fin setup. The Naish Gecko 2022 is a great wave and freeride surfboard. This surfboard is perfect for sick strapless airs and for ripping small waves. This directional is fully dedicated to strapless wave riding so therefore it has no inserts. The wider nose and tail make strapless airs a breeze and you have optimal control in the air. Because this is a directional for choppy conditions, there is a Vee Nose Bottom Shaping on the underside of the board at the tail. This ensures optimal comfort when cruising in a messy surf and in choppy water. The directional has a double bamboo deck for optimal durability and minimizes small dents.The Gecko 2022 has a Quad fin setup which means that there are 4 fins underneath. With a quad fin setup, the surface that the fins cover is moved closer to the rail of the surfboard. When you're edging and trying to get upwind, this extra surface area will result in better up-wind characteristics. Another advantage of the Quad fin setup is that the pivot point of the surfboard is moved more forward, making the Gecko feel looser and smoother through chop.
