The NP Mission LC is a low surf shoe with 3mm thick neoprene, these shoes are made to keep your feet warm when the water gets colder and to protect your feet against the reef! The inside of the shoe has Fireline thermal lining and the seams are glued to prevent water from going into the shoe. These shoes are specially designed for kitesurfers and windsurfers, so they fit well in straps! Most shoes of other brands are designed for surfing, which means the makers didn"t take straps into account while developing the shoes.
