The Firewire Vader Helium is super light and perfect for thick fast hollow waves!
The Vader is the product of an ongoing evolution of Daniel (Tomo) Thomson"s Modern Planing Hull (MPH). The board has been in the making for five years and is everything you would want a board to be. The Vader gives you all the planing performance of the Vanguard but is even faster in the corners and gives you a bit of a skate feeling in the directional flap. The asymmetrical design allows the Father to easily make airs and to minimize the drag of the board. The Vader has wonderful upwind properties.Compared to the Vanguard, the Vader has more tail and "entry rocker", which makes the Vader tighter, faster turns but with similar upwind possibilities. The deep channels in the Vader also give him the opportunity to hold long, thick carves for a long time.
The Vader has a 5-fin Futures setup. This gives you the opportunity to ride the Firewire Vader Helium on 3 or 4 fins, depending on your preference. The Vader is available in two sizes:
